If I haven't worked for over year will it effect academics in the bridge program?

I am currently an LVN, but I only have 6 months of LTC experience. I stopped working 8/2012 due to cancer treatment and haven't been back to work since. I am planning to complete my prereqs starting in August and begin the bridge to ADN in May of next year. I have gone back and forth on whether to work PT, PRN, or not at all while I complete my ADN. Side note: I only lack one prereq for admission into the bridge program, but I will be taking a full load to obtain credits toward my BSN. With only 6 months work experience and having been out of the LVN program since 12/2011 I am concerned that I won't do well in the bridge program. Would working keep me fresh minded enough to help when I start the program (the school I plan on attending does not have a minimum experience requirement)? What are some things I should do to maintain my knowledge until then?

During my LPN to RN program, I had fellow students who had 10+ years of LPN experience all the way to literally the ink was barely dry on their LPN license with NO experience working as an LPN and NO experience in health care at all.

We all did fine regardless of our experience or lack thereof of LPN work.
