The ADN waiting list was too long for me, so first an Associate of Applied Science in Surgical Technology degree [scrub Tech], then accepted into ADN program. After an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree, then UTMB, at Galveston, School of Nursing RN-BSN online program for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
So, yea I have two minors... well sort of.
I looked into a mircobiology minor, But I didn't have enough electives open that so I would have had to stay in school an extra year. I graduate in spring 07, I'm still thinking of micro but more on a part time basis it would only really be for interest, I'm not sure what I would do with it as a nurse.
I jsut fing the little bugs interesting. other than random knowledge can anyone think of a use for some of these minors?
And what did you minor in? It looks like a VERY good chance that I will get on a loooong waiting list. I am thining about working on a minor while I wait. If you got one what was it in?
Hello,
I have heard that minors are a positive thing. My minor is in psychology and my associates is in Biology, (I also figure that associates are like a minor) and I also had a minor in Spanish from a university that I transferred away from so on my official degree it is not recognized but, has also proven very, very useful.
I would suggest either a Spanish/language and/or Psychology/Sociology or Social Work/Human Services.
However, my Bachellors is not in Nursing, (it is a Sociology degree) I am enrolled in a Master's entry to Nursing program. By the time I had completed all the nursing pre-reqs I had already accumulated enough credit hours to graduate so, I did! Luckily I found DePaul University's MENP program because becoming a nurse was my goal.
Best wishes to you.

I had to take so many fluff courses that I ended up with 2 minors and was 3 credits away from a third. Mine are in Psychology and (giggle) English. All my electives were English classes for the sole purpose of padding my GPA... Didn't get less than an A in any of them without doing a whole lot of work.
