If you're doing A&P and want to test by mid-Aug

This is the lesson plan i'm following in order to test by the week of Aug 17th. If anyone is taking it now or was thinking of taking it, and want to follow along, there are two of us doing this so far.

I'd like to do a study group/ instant messenger on Saturdays in order to go over the material learned that week. it would give us a good chance to quiz one another and everyone knows that you learn by teaching what you know as well! =)

Here is how i've broken down A&P in order to test by the middle of

Aug. using the free content guide from the EC website:

Wk 1 - June 22-28th The Human Body Overview & Chemical Basis of Life

Breakdown:

June 22-24: Humanbody overview

June 25-28: Chemical Basis of Life

Wk 2- June 29th-July 5th Dynamics of Support & Motion

Breaking it down as follows for the week:

29th & 30th - Supporting Tisssue

July 1st- Skeletal System

July 2nd- Muscle Tissue

July 3rd- Muscle Physiology

July 4t--Happy Independance day...take a day off! :)

Wk 3- July 6 -11 Integration and Regulatory Mechanisms

Breakdown:

July 6-8th - Nervous syste

July 9th - Senses

July 10-11 - Endocrine System

Wk 4- July 13 - 19 Maintenance of Human Body

Breakdown:

All week focus on Circulartory System and Heart only

Wk 5- July 20-25 Maintenance Cont...

Breakdown:

July 20-22 - Respiratory System

July 23-24 - Digestive System

July 25th - Metabolism

Wk 6 - July 27 - Aug 2 : Urinary System

Breakdown:

Eack day take one section at a time

Wk 7 - Aug 3-9: Fluid and Electrolyte Balance and Reproduction

Breakdown:

Aug 3-4 Fluid & Electrolytes

Aug 5-7 Reproductiton & Development

REVIEW FOR FINAL WEEK OF AUG 10-16

TAKE FINAL EXAM WEEK OF AUG 17 SOMETIME

So again if anyone is interested in jumping in here with me and my friend please let me know! I think this will keep me accountable to study and it will keep me on track as well!

Sounds like you got it all planned out, you should be testing in no time. I've got to test for A&P2 and Micro but I'm working on the concepts exams first.

thanks! i thought there was only 1 A&P through Excelsior??? Are you taking something different? I hope to do this kind of lesson plan every module to get through it!

I planned on doing Micro after A&P but i might do the nursing and save micro for last..lol

I'll be taking A&P2 at my local college...I've already taken A&P1. I figure when I go for my bachelors I wouldn't want to have to retake the course considering I've already taken and dropped it twice. Micro I'll be taking through EC, I can probably afford to retake that one if needed. I'm glad I don't have that many gen eds to take, I love the nursing stuff a lot more.
