My CNO application has finally arrived and they told me that I did not meet the program requirement for registration as a Registered Nurse in Ontario.
The CNO even told me that they compared my information in my application with the Ontario RN Entry-to-Practice Comptencies. It is like a guidelines of standards wherein they assessed whether I met the standards or not.
Now, they are giving me an opportunity to provide information how I achieved the "not met" entry to practice competencies. They want me to provide examples from my experience or education to demonstrate how I have achieved every not met competencies.
So these are my questions:
Does anyone of you have undergone the same process as I do or it is just me?
Is this different to BET or just the same?
If anyone has the same as i do, How did you do yours?
Hello AngelHernandez, are you applying for RPN or RN? You didn't state which one.As for your question, really I personally don't understand what CNO wants their candidates to write cos those ain't questions to me, but as they have stated...you have to provide examples.
nav28, not sure if you are aware, but care for internationally educted nurses (care4nurses org) offers CAS 3-day workshops at their Toronto location, according to their website there is one coming up in August.
i am received self assessment questions too from IEN. how did you answer all those question. they are too vague. i m having hard time answering it. is there is anything in particular they are looking for?
actually, I got report from CNO they are asking to complete competency assessment supplement(CAS) List 120. if anybody have done this kind of process please help me .I don't have any idea hoe I can start.
