It means we are disputing certain "tags" we do not feel were justified. During the conference call, they asked for additional documents. We have not heard at this time the outcome. Cross your fingers.dawn

Tookie 469 Posts Aug 31, 2002 OK IDR - is this related to your funding tool - and you are having to justify your documetnation ?Tookie
Catsrule16, RN 114 Posts Sep 1, 2002 Sandra,If a facility feels they were unjustly cited, they can present additional information and an explaination as to why the citation should be lessened or thrown out completely. It's called informal dispute resolution because there is nothing formal about. No one is sworn in, no judge. Just the program managers who review the citations and the facility representatives. The citations can have penalties assessed to them in the form of monetary fines and/or denial of payment for new admissions who enter the facility under medicare or medicaid funding. So I guess it does have some effect on funding in a round about way. It also doesn't look good on the report sent to the facility that everyone who enters may have access to read.
