I called IDFPR to follow-up my RN license number application because its been a month since I sent the form and payment. During the conversation, the representative asked for my Social Security Number, she said, she needed it to search for my application status and at first I didn't give it and she reiterated that i need to give it and then I told her my SS number. Now, I'm just anxious that what if she's not legally allowed to have my number, i'm afraid to be a victim of Identity theft. So, anyone here also experience that by calling IDFPR? Or is it a normal protocol in their office? I'm really scared right now, enlighten me guys. Thank you very much in advance! Godbless.

Boards of nursing are specifically entitled to your SSN for a variety of reasons.

So, does that mean i don't need to worry anymore cause its on a safe organization? Thanks for your reply.
