Identity crisis

Help!

Am trying to remember a name that is just driving me crazy because I know it's right there on the tip of my tongue but I can't remember. And I'll know it as sooon as I hear it.

Nurse is a nursing professional educator/administrator/public speaker. Is an RN and psych background.

Should be late 60 yo. And was from Chicago, IL area. I think he's still alive.

I've been doing some readings on nsg pioneers, researchers, educators, theorists, 'friends of nsg', etc. And this gentleman is well-respected. But I'm stuck for his name.
