I'm an RN, BSN from Massachusetts that moved to Tulsa, and wondering what the average pay rate is for an RNs with at least 1.5 years of RN experience and over 5 years of other nursing experience?
In the hospital I worked in Massachusetts my base pay plus diff was 35.90/hour. I recently interviewed at a hospital in Tulsa and was offered base pay plus diff at 23-24.00/hour.
I just want to have an idea of what the actual average pay rate is for RN, BSN here in Tulsa Oklahoma or surrounding areas, ANY IDEAS???????
and is there any pay difference for RN, BSN????????

Base pay for an RN with 1.5 years experience would be around $20-22/hr I would think since new grads start right around $19/hr I hear. Differentials depend on the hospital you work at, weekends are $2-4 depending on the hospital and nights are $4-7 depending on the hospital. If you are willing to work weekends every weekend, most places give another differential for that.
I have no idea about previous nursing experience - do you mean LPN experience or something else? I would think LPN and possibly EMT experience would get a little more. If you are talking about CNA or CMA/RMA, no.
Hospitals around here don't pay for BSN, most don't pay for certifications either.
Standard of living here is lower than MA hence the lower pay. If you need more cash, I'd suggest doing agency. Another option is asking hospitals about contract positions or non-benefit positions that will pay a higher hourly rate, just remember that means no PTO or insurance.

I am a nurse with 27 years of experience, and I have made around 25.00 per hour. The pay is alot less here. I lived in TN and made 30.00 at least. I am not a hospital nurse though. My speciality is Long Term Care. Arkansas even pays more. I have no idea what someone with 1.5 years experience and a BSN would make. I have an associates degree. I am a Certified Federal Surveyor though but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I believe that even Director of Nurses only make around 60,000 per year. The pay is alot lower here.
Which hospital are you working for and what is your speciality? I know that makes a diffference.
