IDC and fluid ablance chart

Hi,

I have a presentation on IDC on Monday and can not remember how to document the amount of urine in a fluid balance chart if it is from a catheter. Is it just the amount with a C around it in urine column. Also how do you note on fliud balance chart that you have emptied the catheter?

Have no idea of half of what you are talking about. IDC----idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy???? Invasive ductal cancer???? Here in the U.S. we have I & O (intake and output) sheets. The output section of these sheets are sometimes expanded to include the different sources of output, but they have to be labeled.
