Hello again! I am 35 and have been a stay at home with only 2 small jobs in between. (preschool from 08-11, and nanny 05-07). Should I address this in my cover letter and play up how being a stay at home mom has given me the required skills to be a nurse? Also, I feel like the main focus of my letter is "patient-centered care" and while important, I feel like maybe it's too much?
Thanks again!!

Dear Nurse Recruiter,
I am pleased to be writing you today regarding my application for the Registered Nurse position at XX. I am extremely interested in obtaining this position and I have outlined some background information about myself below and attached a copy of my resume and letters of recommendation for your consideration.
My background as a stay at home mom has provided me with many valuable skills that translate well to nursing. I have strong prioritization skills that have allowed me to multitask efficiently to successfully manage a household. I will bring patience and understanding to each unique situation, allowing the client to feel confident in the individualized care they are receiving. As a preschool teacher, I've developed excellent communication skills as I often had to interact with both my students and their families. I understand the appropriate level of care required depending on the age and the culture that the patient belongs to. I am eager to work with the healthcare team at XX Hospital to help facilitate an environment that promotes patient-centered care. I take pride in myself, and my work, which is why I have chosen to apply to your facility as they have a reputation bringing advanced medicine and personal care to the many communities it serves. I really enjoy challenging myself and wish to continue growing as a nurse. I am currently enrolled in an RN-BSN program and will be ACLS certified by March 2015. Please consider what I have to offer as my determination and love of nursing will shine through in my care to your patients.
I believe my background provides the skills you require for this position. I would welcome the opportunity for a personal interview to further discuss my qualifications. I am certain that I would become a valuable addition to your facility. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Annaid RN
