Hello! Is there anybody who will be attending International College of Health Sciences (ICHS) in Florida in 2022?

I do attend. They have been making changes to try and increase these scores but there are students that still have not taken NCLEX.

Thenlast 2 semesters they have been doing some changes to help students some helpful, some not sure about.

Thanks for clarifying. How do you like the school so far?  Is traveling to Florida for clinicals roughly a 2 week stay?

It still has its issues like any other school.

It is hard but doable. They have been listening to the students and making snall changes each semester. They realize that the score are low and want to help bring them up.

 

Clinicals are too easy to me. You go from 10 to 21 days. It starts at 10 days and goes up each semester.

You will have required skills lab the first 3 days at the school then clinicals the remaining days. Only thing I don't like is it will be at either Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing Facilities. But they are easy and you have a care plan due each day while in clinicals along with class work.

I try to schedule during the break in between semesters.

You will practice skills at the school.

For stay you can do airbnb with classmates you study with or on your own. They do have hotels they have agreements with but I prefer airbnb for kitchen and living space while there.

It is not a horrible school like it used to be. I heard it was worse from students who are futher along.  It works for me. I work per diem at a hospital and have plenty of nurse friends because my husband works in the ER where I work. It was the best decision for me.

Hi, I was just wondering how you guys are doing having to leave your families for clinicals? I have been wanting to start this program for over a year but I have a lot of anxiety about leaving my kids for 10+ days? ?

I fortunately have grown kids but those I was in clinicals with who had babies and young children was there. Dads and family members keep the kids while they get their clinicals done. There is always video chat and phone calls. They did what they had to do to get it done. It's the prize of a having a license at the end that makes it worth the little sacrifice.

My only kid will be 2 next month. It's been rough and we facetime a lot. But I'm doing this for her future so it motivates me. 

Think about the great life you can provide your babies with more money and more time to spend with them because you don't have to work so much. It's worth it. Put your 100% in it.

I want to know more about the program, LVN to RN, Is it online? for how long? Please someone help me with the information,

It is an ASN RN program. If you are an LVN you can take an advanced placement exam for Fundamentals and Pharmacology. If you pass them you skip to the next semester. Most only pass fundamentals and end up taking Pharmacology. 

It is a hybrid peogram so theory online and clinicals in Florida in person.
