So I cant for the life of me find a preceptor for any of my clinicals, I have made cold calls and sent over 100 letters for my first two clinicals, no one wants to precept.
I was told by one NP that she was being paid to precept, when another classmate asked about this she was told "they do not pay - they feel it is an NPs obligation to give back"
SOOOO my question is if you went to school in NJ or PA, and the school found your preceptors, where did you go.
Thank you for your help!

that really sucks and makes me want to change my program (online) before i get to clinicals, or either say screw it and go to PA school.
I've also thought about just giving up altogether and just doing nursing administration, or education as my MSN. I am interested in teaching, but wanted to do that in addition to practicing as NP. I just don't know what to do. I don't want to give up but feel like I'm against a wall.
I know others have done it before and its really the only thought that keeps me going, then you think if we have to have a doctorate in a couple years than perhaps we should apply to med school? hmmmm
I'm researching med school and PA schools as we speak...lol.
