Hello everyone ! I am a Filipina nurse wanting to register to NZ. I have been trying to sending email to the NZ nursing council but I dont know why I am not receiving any reponses.
I already have downloaded the application, but then I would like to ask if there is really a need for me to pass the IELTS considering that I have already passed TOEFL, TWE and TSE.
IS there anyone here from other countries who applied for registration in NZ.
Thank you !

I applied for registration in nz no bother I sent for the documents, then I all I had to do was send them confirmation of my registration from my school of nursing and get some one who I worked with to send verification on the form supplied by them.

As far as I know, if you have passed TOEFL, that shd be sufficient. Just send in your application. The council may not be replying because they are busy getting hundreds of nursing registration sent out to nurses who had passed the State Finals. This has to be done ASAP because nurses cannot work as RNs without their registration being verified. I remember one of the nursing schools in the North Island had an intake of 150 student nurses and they have two new intakes each year! Make sure you send all the relevant documents with your application to avoid any delays. Good Luck with your application.
hello ! thank you for your reply. I appreciate it a lot.
I am excited to send my application, I am still in the process of completing the requirement. I understand that I need to submit PROFESSIONAL REFERRENCE - my problem here is that I graduated 2004 and I dont have hospital experience yet because I spent my time studying for NCLEX which I passed.
So, I wonder if I can ask my former ( when I was a student yet) clinical instructors to do the PROFESSIONAL REFERRENCE for me. PLease if you have any suggestions regarding this , let me know. You are a grreat help.
I wonder if you are in New Zealand .
Thanks !

No, I am not in NZ anymore. I live in Australia. Yes, you can get your clinical instructors to write you the professional reference. When in 2004 did you graduate? If you have any attestations from any of the clinicals, you can put that as a part of you Resume/CV. Also include your NCLEX results. PM if you have any other queries.

Hi all4jss
Sorry, I did not reply yesterday. I thought I check out another avenue for you.
I checked with Queensland Nursing Council (QNC) today about your qualifications. QNC stated that you are welcome to apply for registration in Queensland, Australia. QNC stated that due to the fact you had continued on and obtained NCLEX will be looked upon favourably. Their advise is that whilst waiting for registration processes in NZ or Aust, you should try to get some kind of work experience. QNC stated that you can get the application for registration online www.qnc.qld.gov.au The initial cost to be submitted to QNC is AUD$44 and if successful, about AUD$77 for the registration. QNC stated that you should enclose copies of NCLEX result and your present registration from your home country, transcripts etc and they require IELTS or similar. All these info are on the website. QNC stated that if you have all the required documents there, it would take 6 weeks to process.
