I want to become a neonatal nurse, but I'm still in highschool. I really want to stay on the right path and beome what ive always wanted to be but I have know idea how long everything is gonna take. I have done some research and from what Ive found, I have to be a RN and then specialize in neonatal nursing, and you have a have a MSN, soooo how long would all that take?

I don't know for sure. My advice?

Don't have kids.

Pay attention to your GPA.

Put career/school ahead of everything else.

This should land you a good scholarship, a spot in a nursing program, and then you can map it from there.

Specializes in ICU.

you do not need an MSN to work in a NICU as a staff nurse.
