Thats funny, I just moved out of Pensacola last year. You might want to check online. But my previous employer in Pensacola provided the training for me. I worked for two different LTC's there and both of them offered the class which was just one day then I did a hands on test and a written. You could check with Sacred Heart Hospital, looking the papers as well. Some nurses (they are licensed to teach this) make extra $ by teaching this course. I remember some of my fellow classmates all chipped in and hired a nurse we worked with during clinicals that gave the course. Where have you applied for work? I know that Life Care of Pensacola and University Hills both provide the training. Good Luck!!
Well, I tried to message you with the information on a lady that does it. She's getting a class together right now. It's 5 weeks, self study, you get together on the first and last day, do the post test, work on the dummies and get your certification. It's $150 and you get 30 CEU's for taking the course. If you are interested, let me know and I will give you her number.
Shes sick and going to the doctor today. She said that the course will take about 5 weeks depending on the holidays but anticipates the class will be concluded in january. I've called all the hospitals and the schools and they do not offer IV ceritication. Baptist gave me her name and number. I'm supposed to see her tomorrow around noonish.

I've been a LPN for 10 years in Indiana. I have been performing I.V.s the whole time I've been a nurse. I recently moved to Pensacola, Florida and have to get I.V. certified for Florida; does anyone know where I can take a course for this?
