I have two C grades that are haunting me

k here goes. i am trying to major in nursing out here in new york but the thing is i had previously taken two of my prerequisites psychology 101 and sociology 101 and i got a c passing grade. this was a long time ago when i was majoring in crimonology.i called hopfer school of nursing and they told me that i could try and retake the classes, but no school will let me retake a passing grade. everytime i look into a program it says a required grade of c+ or higher is only acceptable. does anyone have any suggestions of what i can do? i hear that i can try to do the lpn program first but will i have trouble down the road again because of these two classes when i go for the bridge program?:crying2: im really stressed out on what on what i can do these two grades are haunting me.:scrying:

You did not state what state you are in but as far as the MAJORITY of schools out here in california the grades in your other classes DO NOT MATTER!!! The ADN RN schools at community colleges ONLY care about your GPA in the 3 major prereqs. Those are ANATOMY, PHYSIO, and MICRO. Usually they employ a lottery system so once u finish ur prereqs and cast ur ticket into that lottery it is just a matter of luck. LVN/LPN to RN bridge programs are usually easier to get into because of the shorter waiting list. The ONLY time those C's will hurt you is if you wanted to go STRAIGHT to an RN BSN at a UC or CSU (once again california examples) those schools will look at your GPA in the 3 major prereqs and the overall GPA separately.

Hope this helped. Once again it could be completely different in your state, but as for mine this is how it is.
