I took the TEAS V today

I am applying for a nursing (RN) program that begins in May, so the test scores were due ASAP, so I had about 4 days to study before I was thrown to the wolves...well....more like flesh eating gate trolls, previous to this, I had been planning to take the HESI for another school, however, I did not have enough time to apply so I said, what the heck, and tried for this other school. I wanted to at least take it and see how I did. Well, I got a 67%.

I realize to many of you on here, with your freakish intelligence and big sexy brains, that a 67% might as well be a 2% and may give some of you cause to whip yourselves through the streets.....Buuuuut, luckily for me I only needed to score a 58%. Granted, a 58 probably wouldn't have gotten me in, but 67% was high enough. Lucky me, eh? My GPA is decent, I'm at 3.67 (not horrible, but chemistry is the bane of my existence and brought me down) Luckily, this school doesn't need that course so taking it away and focusing on everything else bumps my GPA up. I already signed up, but I still have to do an interview, and as long as I don't say anything crazy, I'm in. I already did the financial aid and all the paperwork *snoopy dance*

*seriously some of the scores required for these schools are insane that I see on here, you need an 80% or higher and a 4.0 GPA. It's like Lord of the Rings to get into nursing school!!! "YOU SHALL NOT PASSSSSSSSS!!!!!" *old wizard guy waves staff and shoots fire at wannabe nursing students*

I digress....

For those of you that have yet to take this test, I recommend you study that science part. I have always been a rockstar at science, as far as A&P goes-except chemistry (Boo!) but this part of the test was no joke. It was too broad to learn in 4 days and I guessed a lot of it. A lot of it was about genetics and chemistry. Very little about A&P. I am also horrible at math, but math was my second highest score. If you're mentally constipated like me when it comes to putting 2 and 2 together (literally...) I suggest you go on Coolmath4kids.com. That site is amazing and it really helps you remember all that crap..er...I mean, wisdom, that you learned in 7 and 8th grade and never used again. The rest of the TEAS is easy. It's basic English...if you are an avid reader you should have no issues. Also, refrain from being cheap and buy those practice tests on ATI....they are actually harder than the actual test, so if you do well on those then you're gonna be good for the actual test.
