Hi Everyone,

I continue to toy with the idea of taking a pass/fail in my physiology class. Are there any cons to this choice? I've never taken one in undergrad and I was told that it won't affect my GPA. I know that when I was applying for a job as a GN the hospital that I work at wanted a copy of my official transcripts. Is this the same scenario when you're looking for a NP job? Does it look "bad" to have a class be pass/fail? Thanks for any input.

just a question. you went from rn to np without a break? I think you need some experience under your belt so that you can be a more effective NP.

Yes I did. And yes, I will have 3 years of full time RN work experience before I begin practicing as a NP.

sorry i didnt mean to sound rude about the whole experience thing. lol. last semester i took a w from my advanced health assessment class and am redoing it this semester. still have the same worries and same anxiety as before but trying to tame it and just do the work. from what i understand once you retake the class the w gets turned into watever grade you get for the class. hope that helps. what shcool do you go to? i go to suny stony brook in new york. i've been a nurse for 5 years and still can't get over my nerves as far as doing an h&p. :-(
