should I take A&P 1 this summer?

Published

I've never taken anatomy and physiology in high school, never had any exposure to it really. I was thinking of taking it this summer to lighten my load just in case i manage to get into a nursing program that i applied for...

is it too hard to take in the summer since it will be new for me? or should i just go for it

I think that all really depends on you. I will say I'm in A&P 1 now but in a 16 week course. It's a ton of work. I personally couldn't imagine it in a short summer course due to the amount of information you have to learn. I'm maintaining an A but basically every day I'm doing something for the class. But if you have the time to dedicate and feel you can handle it go for it!

Depends on the person, depends on the professor. Condensed classes, especially difficult ones can be tricky

Depends on how well you take to science classes. If you've done fine in bio and/or chemistry in the past you'll probably be fine in A&P (most people don't take A&P in high school and only have bio or chem experience prior to taking it). It also depends on what else you have going on in life over the summer. If you have big vacation plans, or other major time commitments it can be rough, but summer can also be a good time to study because you can spend hours in school and studying and still have that bit of extra daylight to go out and have some fun.
