I recently went back to school at University of Phoenix to finish my BSN and was adjusting well. I had finished my first class with an A-, and was well on track to have an A in the second class. I turned in my final paper over a day early and thought whoo-hoo!
A couple of days later I was horrified to see that my final grade was a C-!!! I couldn't imagine what had happened.
And then I remembered the incredibly detailed, final exam that I had worked on for days, was worth 20% of the grade, that I had neglected to turn in.
I am very grade oriented, and now 2 weeks later, I am still fuming at myself over this. There was no excuse. It wasn't as if I didn't do the work, I just completely forgot to turn it in.
Oh well, move on, and know that I will NEVER make that mistake again

Ouch! Is there some way you can turn it in late for partial credit, or is it just over and done with now?
I'm one of those people who does NOT write things down -- schedules, due dates, appointments, whatever -- they're usually all just in my head. Which is risky as I get older, ha ha. Maybe a pocket-sized planner calendar would be a good idea. Or you can use certain programs, like Microsoft Outlook, to pop reminders up from its calendar so you don't forget things.
I've started to write important dates on a wall calendar near my desk, and I check things off as they're done. I don't want to miss things, like my LASIK surgery tomorrow. :) (It's just an "enhancement" to one eye that didn't get any better than 20/35 after the initial surgery, but I still don't want to forget! :) )
