I am starting LVN School (Unitek) on Monday Any Advice for me???? I am very nervous.
Thanks,
Steph
My advise is to study hard, get used to putting lots of information in your head in a short period of time, try to stay ahead by learning the next thing your instructor is going to teach you, Utitlize some of your free time to study up on Nursing, when you feel like giving up think of why you're in this program in the first place, don't be afraid to ask questions even though you might think it's "stupid ", try to have a working relationship with the instructor; you don't have to like him/ her, get used to everyone calling you a "nerd" (you'll feel happy when you pass the NCLEX-LVN), get ready to memorize those meds like the back of your own hand, get ready to memorize diseases like the ABC's,try to do as much as you can during clinicals and always ask questions, do MORE than your HW whenever by adding to your nursing knowledge, and most importantly, NEVER GIVE UP!!!
It WILL be hard and tough at times, but you will pull through. I know this becuase I'm going through the same thing you're going through. I'm in an LPN program at my high school. I wish you good luck and all the best... :):):)
