I am sick of crushing pills, taking apicals, and squeezing creams into cups for CNA's to apply to butts.
I know there are a lot of LPN/LVN's with more responsibility, but they seem to be the ones who have been doing it for a gazillion years with a bazillion extra certs.
Anyway.
I'm doing Excelsior, and I 've discovered that the trick, for me, is to schedule the exam and then I'll do the reading.

Feel your pain. My situation is a little different. I see the RNs on the floor taking the same load as me and getting more $$. I have oriented new RNs and frequently answer questions from my RN peers. My bosses have purposefully not given certain challenging assignments to some RNs because they didn't feel they could "handle it" opting instead to give them to me. I do feel like a valuable team member, but one who makes less money.
