I am in a similar situation but without the kids. I had to move to a different town about three hours from where we used to live to go to school and then my hubby found a job way out in the middle of Montana (I'm in Washington) and have only seen him on school vacations or long weekends that he could come over. I get to see him for 3 months starting next week! I can't imagine what it would be like to be away from children though. Can't wait to get the quarter done and make my drive to Montana.
That is a major bummer. If he wasn't a 10 hour drive away or train ride I wouldn't have been able to see him as much, so I am grateful for that, but we have spent the majority of our almost 2 year marriage apart...can't wait to be completely done so I can be with him permanently. Are you done for good or do you have more school left?
Yeah, we have spent a lot of time apart as well. He is prior service Army, so he's been on numerous deployments to Iraq, Honduras, El Salvador, Japan...I think we only spent 2 anniversaries together when he was in!
And I am done! Well, with my ADN. I take my NCLEX soon, eek! We will pack up the house and head east at the end of the month!

My family FINALLY comes back to me tonight! I get to pick them up in less than 9 hours! Ugh, you guys can't even imagine!
My hubby has been gone for 316 days guys. 316! He left last July for a better job opportunity. I had to stay behind to finish school since I was already half way through. After doing 1 semester as a single mom we thought it was best to have the kids with him my last semester because the 4th semester schedule was so unpredictable. They left Jan 2 and I haven't seen them since. 153 days without my babies! I finished school in mid may, but we had to wait for them to finish school there. They are finally on their way back! I can't even begin to describe the emotions I am feeling!
