Hi guys, I've been reading from Saunder's almost every day, the more I read the slower I get. I want to take the exam in Nov. but at this pace I don't think I can't. I usually study from 1 to 5 when my 3 y.o is in daycare, I go to Barnes and Nobles, I read and read and don't seem to get ahead, and I have taken 50 to 60% in most chapters before reading them, i feel like crap, this is my 3rd time and don't want to fail this time.

Why are you reading so much? There really is not any reason for it, more important is to do the questions at the end of the chapters without reading so that you can see where your weaknesses are.
I do not think that I would be able to sit and just read that book either, but I love the book. It is the best one out there in my opinion.
I am going to move your thread to the NCLEX Forum where I think that you will get more responses and find others that are needing extra help as well.
Suggest that you check out the first tip of my program that can be found there also.
Best of luck to you, you can get thru this exam.
That is what I've been doing, your tips, I do the questions first but I am below 75% in most chapters, so I do read the chapter and then do the questions again. I do love the book as well, but as I said before I don't see the end. Thanks, I hope to complete all chapters so I can move to your plan.
Then take a couple of weeks off from preparing and just let your brain take a rest and regroup. When you start pushing yourself like this, it causes even more stress for you and makes things worse. You also do not retain the information that you are reading.
Best of luck to you, but definitely take sometime away from the books. You will see a world of difference.
