I need a simple dosage calculator download for my pda

Published

Is there software available for dosage calculators? I have managed to find one for IV drip rates but nothing for oral calculations.

I want one where you enter the dose ordered/dose on hand and get the answer.

I have a Palm Tungsten 5 pda. Have tried Medcalc, epocrates, and pepid and none of them have what I am looking for.

I am kinda lost.

Thanks in advance

Try the website www.handango.com. They have many PDA programs..some that have a free trial.

ummm, yeah, thats a matter of simple division or multiplication, you won't find a program that has that.

I'm not trying to sound mean or anything, but that type of problem shouldn't require a program, maybe a basic calculator but thats it. Ask another student or an instructor to help you learn it, then use the basic calculator.

I'm assuming you mean problems like: You have an order for 4mg of med, and you have 8mg pills, how many pills do you give?

If these are not the type of problems your talking about, sorry, not trying to be condescending or anything, but if this is the problem, then your missing something and need an explaination rather than a program.

Just thought I would ask. Thought it might be handy to double check my dosage calculations with it, I am sure I will learn all about how to do that once I start school.

Thanks for the reply.

Here's a website that has online calculators so you can check your math:
