I need online interview a porfessional RN in the Health Care Delivery System

I am an international student who takes the nursing class right before getting the program in PA in the United States. Since I am not good at interviewing foreigners and I am not sure where to go to interview a registered nurse for my assignment (due Oct. 30 2008). Therefore, I have looked around through internet and signed up for this wonderful website for help. As the assignment paper is supposed to be written by my own words, I need to get the answers to those questions below by Oct 20th 2008. The best way I get the response would be via Email. The assignment I have is to acquaint students with other registered nurses who are already practicing, to introduce students to the responsibility of being a member within the profession, and to acquaint students with the process of professional socialization.

This assignment will be based on an interview with a professional registered nurse involved in the Health Care Delivery System. The questions like the below

1. What is the educational preparation of the nurse? Professional certifications? Additional certifications?

2. What is this nurse's role in the Health Care Delivery System?

3. Identify how the interviewee performs the 3 roles of the AD nurse.

4. Identify how the nurse utilizes the nursing process in practice. Provide at least one example.

5. How does this nurse demonstrate the basic concepts of nursing introduced in the first class?

6. What are the responsibilities of the nurse in his/her current role? How do the responsibilities of this nurse compare with your expectations?

7. What is the philosophy of the institution where the nurse is employed? How does the nurse's philosophy compare to that of the institution?

8. How have current trends in healthcare affected the nurse's professional experience?

9. What advice can you give me about pursuing nursing?

3. identify how the interviewee performs the 3 roles of the ad nurse. what are the 3 roles and what is an ad nurse?

4. identify how the nurse utilizes the nursing process in practice. provide at least one example. i am constantly assessing the patients' health status or their complaints, i formulate a plan of action, i carry it out, i evaluate its effectiveness and revise it if needed, do the whole process over if needed. for example, if someone c/o wheezing and sob, i listen to the lungs, hear wheezes, give the inhaler, and see if it worked. if not, i get the doctor.

5. how does this nurse demonstrate the basic concepts of nursing introduced in the first class? what were these concepts?

6. what are the responsibilities of the nurse in his/her current role? charge nurse; make assignments for my team, assess patients, give meds, chart, supervise the team, give and get report, liason with pharmacy, doctors, other workers on behalf of my patient, document my work, many other responsibilities but these are the basics.

how do the responsibilities of this nurse compare with your expectations?

7. what is the philosophy of the institution where the nurse is employed? it is something noble and lofty. how does the nurse's philosophy compare to that of the institution? same plus more practical issues, like having an income and benefits. sorry, i work of necessity.

8. how have current trends in healthcare affected the nurse's professional experience? we are very much into customer service, we get forced to work overtime, we are constrained by budget. generally, the job and benefits are pretty good. pay is super low.

9. what advice can you give me about pursuing nursing? it's hard physically, academically, and emotionally. you have to like helping people, you must be kind and patient, flexible and smart. you must not mind working weekends, holidays, nights, evenings. you must expect to be disrespected or looked down upon by some doctors, families, and others but, in reality, you are the one who saves lives and makes sure your patients are properly cared for. i advise that you spend time with nurses on their jobs before deciding to become one. good luck and god bless you.
