I need help finding a job in NYC.

Are there any nurse working in a hospital in NYC, that can help me get a job. I apply online and no calls. When I call they say just apply online. The nurses I see who get hired are nurses who knows someone or a friend of a friend gave the nurse recruiter the name of a the new graduate. So you have to know somebody in Order to get hired. This not fair. I have been looking for a year now. I see some hospital only require a RN license that's it. I have my ADN license, I hope someone can help me please.

You probably heard this before but apply to out of state job bi have tried for 3years to get into a hospital and didn't received one call. I recently was offer a position out of state after I completed my BSN. Now that I am no longer looking I am receiving call back for NY, most likely because of the BSN.

Also try small home care agency there are always looking for staff. Get experience there that you can use on your resume.

Im currently working in homecare now, I'm in school too for my Bsn as well. I'm even volunteering at an abortion clinic but I just started, like only four days so I don't know if u can even put it on my resume, can I ?

All of this and no job. Where did you go out of state? Jersey or Connecticut or pa?

I'm moving to Nashville, I applied and to my surprise I received a callback. From application to offer it took 6 weeks.

Just keep applying, as I said before I didn't received any call back until after the BSN. Since you are working now you will have a advantage once you are done.
