Um Emory university is one of the best nursing schools in the country. Vanderbilt is number 1. My school is #99 out of 400 but I'm cool with that. I'm pretty sure GA Tech, UGA, and other Atlanta area schools have bsn programs. If you want to move to Brunswick GA I have a few friends in the Coastal College of GA, their bsn program is new I think the first class will graduate this spring. The best advice I can give you is to go on the NLN website and see what schools are accredited in GA, but there is also another accrediting unit depending on region. Look into who gives the TEAS test or the HESI, not all schools give the same test, but I've never seen a bsn program that doesn't require an entrance exam. Good luck.
GA southern and Valdosta are also two very good universities, but I am not sure if both have bsn programs, I'm 99% sure Ga southern does.

Hey everybody! Let me just say I find this website so useful and check it on a daily...everyone is so helpful and gives great advice! I personally have a little dilemma myself right now. I'm going to be done with my pre-nursing core classes pretty soon (summer 2012) to be exact and am going to have to start applying to BSN nursing programs for next fall of 2012. My GPA right now is a 3.47 and I'm currently at a community college. I made a 78 on my TEAS but plan to retake it soon and spend alot of time studying, so I'm hoping for an 85+ this time around. I made a C in anatomy 1&2 but a B in my chemistrys, my medical microbiology, B in my maths && an A in Developmental Pysc. I'm really worried about my anatomys because I know how competitive some nursing programs are regarding those pre reqs and the TEAS score...so I thought i'd come on here && ask for advice! Considering my grades and my TEAS, which BSN nursing programs should I apply to in GA and have a realistic chance of getting in? There are probably not many and KSU is definitely out, but every piece of advice helps!
Thanks yall!
