I need you advise PLEASE

Hello Everyone and Happy Holidays!

I want to thank you for reading this and giving me your opinion. I graduated this May 2014 with honors. I have a learning disability so in nursing school I had testing accomidations (extra time on the exam, and a private room).

So I have taken the NCLEX two times and have not been successful, I did not have any testing accomidations, as it is hard to attain. The first time I did the hurst review, and the videos. not may practice questions. So my first attempt the test cut off at 75.

The second time I prepared again no testing accomidations. I did over 2200 questions reading the rational for every question. I used NCSBN and a little of LaCherity. I stayed away from HURST. I also took a 3 week personal leave absence from work to study. So the second time I ran out of time, so embarrising to me.

As I am preparing for the thrid time I have TESTING ACCOMIDATIONS :) i get extra time on the exam and a private room. I worked really hard on getting this. With this Pearson Vue calls to schedule the nclex-rn with you, not you scheduling it on the computer.

So I have found myself in a somewhat feeling of anxiety.

Should I purchase Kaplin?

I have purchased the Saunders Q & A book.

I am going to a Hurst live review (to refreash my mind on some fundamentals)

Should I purchase NCSBN, again... they have added more QBanks

I was also told to try the NCLEX RN Illustrated book.

Please if you have anything to help me, or recomend to me please I welcome all advise and comments good or bad. Right now I am just feeling so stupid, for running out of time.

Thank you,

Nervous girl

I would recommend practicing more questions. It is important to get used to the nclex style questions. It took me 3 months to get my att so my studying was off and on during that time but I did at least 5000 questions before my test. Aside from reviewing the rationales from all the questions I did, the only content I studied was labs and my weak areas ob and PEDs. If u feel weak in content work on that but if not use your study time to practice more questions. Good luck you can do it.
