I need you advise PLEASE
Hello Everyone and Happy Holidays! I want to thank you for reading this and giving me your opinion. I graduated this May 2014 with honors. I have a learning disability so in nursing school I had testing accomidations (extra time on the exam, and a private room). So I have taken the NCLEX two times and have not been successful, I did not have any testing accomidations, as it is hard to attain. The first time I did the hurst review, and the videos. not may practice questions. So my first attempt the test cut off at 75. The second time I prepared again no testing accomidations. I did over 2200 questions reading the rational for every question. I used NCSBN and a little of LaCherity. I stayed away from HURST. I also took a 3 week personal leave absence from work to study. So the second time I ran out of time, so embarrising to me. As I am preparing for the thrid time I have TESTING ACCOMIDATIONS :) i get extra time on the exam and a private room. I worked really hard on getting this. With this Pearson Vue calls to schedule the nclex-rn with you, not you scheduling it on the computer. So I have found myself in a somewhat feeling of anxiety. Should I purchase Kaplin? I have purchased the Saunders Q & A book. I am going to a Hurst live review (to refreash my mind on some fundamentals) Should I purchase NCSBN, again... they have added more QBanks I was also told to try the NCLEX RN Illustrated book. Please if you have anything to help me, or recomend to me please I welcome all advise and comments good or bad. Right now I am just feeling so stupid, for running out of time. Thank you, Nervous girl

feel really discouraged
Thank you everyone, this is what I did for the first time I did Hurst review and did not practice enough questions. The second time I practiced 2200 questions, but did not review much core content. I did read every rational rather I got the question right or wrong. I did the 55 test bank questions (20 questions per test bank) on NCSBN, some Lacherity, some saunders...and also Michael Linears, his videos are very helpful for me to remember things. I am going to wait for my accommodations to be approved by the state board... in the mean time I am going to go over some core content and then questions in that area (?) what do you think?? Also I am going to go to another Hurst review it has been awhile since I went to one the school where I went to had them come in April. I feel that may help and then NCSBN again and do the questions at least 3 times through??? I so badly want to pass. I know I can do it, my friends say that I am smart and that I know it but I have some test anxiety along with dyslexia...I graduated with honors, still shocks me. I also have the Nclex RN examination illustration book, the saunders book, saunders flash cards with questions, nclex 4000 and more.... I am just so embarrassed that I ran out of time. When any of you were practicing your questions did you time yourself? (do you think this is a good idea?)?? Thank you so much for all of the support ... I just get so upset thinking about it....I feel so defeated.... thank you, blue lady

feel really discouraged
Hello All, I have taken the NCLEX for the second time and was not successful. I compared my results from the state board and did better than the first time, but it is still a fail. I did over 2100 questions. Mostly from NCSBN and some Saunders, and Lacherity. I am going to start studying again and do more from Saunders (SATAs) and more LaCherity. I just feel really discouraged. I am working on getting my testing accommodations which I did not have on either the first or second exam. I had testing accommodations all throughout nursing school. I just feel so blue. I have great friends that are willing to study with me and help me. I am just having the hardest time starting over and studying again. If you have taken then NCLEX at least twice or more please tell me what you did to get over the hump of feeling down about yourself and getting back into the study more. I graduated this past May 14 with honors. Thank you, a blue lady
