Once you receive your degree in liberal studies, you will no longer be eligible for federal student aid if you pursue an associate degree at Mt. SAC.I currently receive financial aid CPP (I don't pay a penny), will I be able to get financial aid for nursing programs at community colleges like Mt. Sac?
Per financial aid rules, you need to pursue a higher degree than the one you currently have in order for them to keep paying.

Hello Everyone,
I'm currently a fifth year student at Cal Poly Pomona majoring in Liberal Studies. I'm going to graduate in Spring and finish that degree. I originally wanted to teach, however, I've changed my mind and wanted to go into nursing to be a RN. I have a few questions to ask since I'm still trying to find out more about this profession:
1. I'm trying to get into Mt. SAC nursing program, can the sciences classes I took at Cal Poly Pomona be used as the prereqs for their program?
2. I know there are some Entry Level BSN and Master BSN program within So-Cal, however I don't feel confident about getting accept into those programs, but should I try? or should I aim for Mt. Sac's nursing program.
3. Besides Mt. SAC, do you know any other nursing program is available in the So-Cal region that is not so impacted?
4. I currently receive financial aid CPP (I don't pay a penny), will I be able to get financial aid for nursing programs at community colleges like Mt. Sac?
