I love you guys and need you advice

I am having some real problems at my job.I work days in ltcf.The trouble is the nurse after me will not finish her work. She admitts patients,doesnt get the orders.I have recently randomly found 6 new res.without assessment sheets filled out.I did bring this to the attention of both the don and the adm.This was about a week ago,also the same week I quit over it all.Well.I dont know what to do.I am tired of cleaning up after her.Am I supposed to search daily for things she doesnt do and do them?I have never been through something as bad as this with a management personel that doesnt give a hoot!Also this person is good friends with the don.I think she is indespensible.Any advice?
