I like to be prepared, Am i doing this right?

I hear this huge hype about the nursing program and specifically the sciences(A&P 1 2,micro). I'm the type that likes to be prepared for what is to come so I bought my books 2 months early and have been studying my butt off. I can see people getting freaked over A&P because the sheer volume that it covers while going in a very timely pace. At first I was like WOAH! but as I started to read and apply the SQ3R technique it began to come together like 10,000 piece puzzle, one piece at a time. I have the Marieb and Martini A&P editions and this comes with an extensive studyguide and great online resources that I take advantage of. I start school Aug 25 and I feel I'm going to have a good understanding before I'm in the classroom. So, anyone out there have any other tips that might help my studying be more efficient or just advice on the sciences in general? Thanks!
