Don't feel discouraged! But I think that your idea of going to LPN school is a great idea, because the bridge over to RN is quicker, and from what it sounds like you want to start working sooner so getting you LPN license will definitely fulfill that want. Plus, you can continue taking you prereqs for the RN program while you working as an LPN and it will help the time pass by faster. I have been working as a Medical Assistant for 3 years now and if I wouldn't have been working then school would have felt like it had been dragging on forever. I am surprised that it is already time for me to apply this year (I am so excited! ) But if you decide to wait it out until 2017 that is totally alright, don't let age play a factor in your schooling decisions, as long as this is what you want to do then go for it!
good luck!

I started my pre-reqs for nursing in spring 2014. I have calculated over and over again how long it is going to take me to finish to apply for the ADN program through my school. Now, a little history, I have been going to school on and off since 2010, changing my major several times only to come back to my original plan of nursing, ha!
I have 2 more sciences. The only program I can do is a night and weekend course(which will take 2.5 instead of 2 years). When I apply to it, they only start classes in Spring, not a fall session start. So, I will be applying for the spring 2017 start time..ugh! then it will be 2.5 till I graduate with an Associates! should I just go through lpn and then bridge? I am 31! I won't start working untill 2020 OMG I will be 36-37, that seems soooo long away
