I just need advice..

Hello Everyone..

I currently attend Columbus Technical College, in Columbus GA. And I'm doing my prereqs for there ADN program. And I've heard alot about how its really competitive, and that out of the previous group of students that applied most students had 4.0 gpa's. Out of 255 applicants they only let in like 55.

So I was considering when I apply for their ADN program, if would be a good idea to apply at Columbus State for their BSN program?

I'm already planning on receiving my BSN after receiving my ADN, but I was planning to do it after the ADN.

There aren't alot of schools near that off the ADN program. So I really want it.

I have 8months, before applying.

I would accept and appreciate any advice that anyone may give..:D

Check with your university to see what the typical gpa for them is and how many students selected. You may find it is just as difficult if not more. Also, the BSN program will have more pre-req requirements. My Comm. College is a waitlist so no competition on grades just who is in line first but the Univ. has high gpa competition.

I am currently in an ADN program. However, if I didnt already have a bachelors degree I think I would have taken the couple extra prereqs and applied for a BSN program. I've looked at several florida schools BSN and ADN programs. The actual programs themselves are about the same length as well. My program is 18 months. Theres a BSN thats 24 months. The BSN programs and ADN programs are about equally as hard to get into. I just dont get what the point is to get an ADN if someones planning on getting a BSN. Just get the BSN and save yourself time
