So I came from a skilled nursing facility because there were no hospitals that were calling me back so I had to settle for a skilled nursing facility that is subacute to long term care. I do work on the side with g-tube and vents/trachs sometimes but it's only to pass meds through g-tubes or by mouth. A lot of pain management and monitoring. I had about 20-30 patients there to pass meds for it was a lot LOL well I finally landed a job at north vista hospital and from the sound of it, it sounds pretty intimidating especially with a ratio of 1:7 so IDK what to expect and I wouldn't say I'm as prepared coming out of a skilled nursing facility especially after being a new grad. I worked at that facility for 8 months. Can I get a bit of advice or tips or something to help me through this? I'm really anxious about starting here LOL there was no other hospital that can take me and I need some acute care experience to help with my career plus they pay more.
