I have a phone interview tomorrow for a possible RN position. Any advice? I really don't know what they will ask me.
Thanks

When I had one I was asked about my clinicals at school (how did I like them, what did I like the least, etc.)
I have had 6-7 interviews before I finally got my job and learned that they almost ALWAYS ask these 2 questions:
"Tell me about a time you had a difficult patient/family member"
"Tell me about a time you had a conflict in clinical/the workplace"
But then you get your random questions depending on the facility, here are some things I have gotten:
"Tell me about a time you had to ask your instuctor for help"
"what was the biggest group you were ever a part of,what was your role?"
"Tell me the most creative thing you have ever done in nursing"
I got pretty good at interviewing in my last ones I think, here is my advice:
1. Sit and review in your mind situations you have encountered in clinical GOOD and BAD and write them down!! Try to remember details, what you learned, etc. Then when they ask you tommorow to think of a situation you will have your memory bank to pull scenarios out of!
2. If you are stuggling for an answer, repeat the question to buy some time example:
" A time when I faced conflict...hmmm..let me think about that...oh yeah, I remember!" lol it helps me sometimes!!
GOOD LUCK!!
Thank you sooo much!!!
No prob!
I'll cross my fingers for you!
