I'm just wondering if there are any other current or former nursing students out there that have been or is in a similar situation. I found out recently that I was accepted into a nursing program (Yeah!!) and I'm thrilled because it's so hard to get in! I'm supposed to be starting this coming September. Also, a little background, I'm married and have two boys aged 9 and 2. My husband was let go from his job last September and has been struggling to find another full time job since then. He has a part time job right now plus a side job and I have been staying home with the boys. We are getting closer and closer to running out of time! We had some money saved up but it's gone now and if he can't find a decent full time job within the next two months then I'm going to have to decline my spot in the nursing program and go back to work myself. Which I would do for my family if it came down to it...but I've been working on going back to school for 3 years now and I'm just feeling really defeated right now.

Well I received my financial aid package today and it's more than enough to cover all school costs plus a little extra. Looks like school is taken care of...now if my husband could just be blessed with a decent full time job then it would be smooth sailing. Nursing school will be stressful enough without the financial stress! Thank you all of you for your comments!
