Since you already have your degree, your choice for the quickest route would be an accelerated program (about 1+ yr) or an Associates degree program (2 yrs). The prereqs will include Human A & P 1 and 2, developmental psych, chem, micro at the minimum. The community college route is definitely the least expensive, and many have surprisingly good reputations. Of course, if you're considering going on for a graduate degree, then stick with the university path. Good luck....HowardI am interested in R.N. programs in the D.C. area. I have 5 years experience in an Architecture degree, but wish to change. Thanks
I wouldn't bother with an Associate's degree at this point, especially since you already have a Bachelor's and would be able to complete a 2nd degree program in about the same amount of time. BSN's usually make more money and are able to practice in more settings. Just make sure you do well on your prerequisites, the sciences especially...
If you're really ambitious, you may want to bypass the BSN and get a masters; UVa is offering such a program.
