I feel like it will never happen

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I am currently taking my pre reqs for the nursing program. Well my school has dropped the ADN and now only have the BSN which means more pre reqs.......:(

I feel like I will never finish all of the pre reqs so that I can even apply for the program....2 years just turned intoo 3 more....will it ever end? I am 29 and I feel like I will never be able to adequately provide for my family until Im in my mid 30's:(. This is so so frustrating.....just need a little boost of encouragement. Sorry for the sob story.

Hey! I'm 35 and just starting the BSN program! You can definitely do it!! Jsut keep your head down and keep plowing through...or switch schools! :wink2: A teacher once told me " you'll be 40 one way or another, you may as well be 40 with a degree!" You can do it!! Kelli

Again, I'm 36 and just retaking my prereqs for a ADN. Have you thought about LPN/LVN? You can move on from there.

Thanks guys for all the positive feedback. I did consider the LPN but I was informed by my mom who is a LPN that the hospitals are doing away with LPN's and I should do the RN program instead. Im in Augusta Ga so there are not many schools here that offer the ADN...to think about none of them offer the ADN right now. Oh, well. I will continue to take the classes needed so I can become a RN. Good luck ladies and keep up the good work
