I failed my OSCE test for the first semester and I really need advice

Published

Well, I'm really confused about my options. I've been really sick and haven't been able to practice much, but I also think the prof. that failed me was unfair to fail me. Anyway, I can't really do clinical placement now which means I can't pass the course. Has anyone ever been in the same boat as me? There's 4 whole months til next semester. Is there anything I can do during the spring/summer time to make up for this? Anything I can propose to my academic advisor when I see her on Monday? I really don't want to repeat this class. Please someone help. Any advice would be appreciated.

OK I'll bite. What is an OSCE test?

When i was in school, health assessment/OSCE tests didn't have anything to do with clinical. We didn't have summer placement first year, that's why. The university offered a summer session health assessment class for anyone that failed..but the requirement would be an 80% or higher to pass instead of the usual 60%. maybe your school offers a summer session class??

The OSCE is an Objective Structured Clinical Exam.

You cant really do placement now? You should check to see if you can or check about summer courses. Who knows you might like summer courses and do them the following year and graduate early.
