I did the work but the only thing I can say is my nerves probable got the best of me ! I couldn't calm myself down and was awake at 1:00 am when my test was at 8:00 am . Plz help me with study tips . Has any done the ATI ?

I'm so sorry(((HUGs))). Yes, it is quite nerve wrecking to have the weight of the world on your shoulders that day.
I too suffer from extreme anxiety and knew that I would barf the whole entire time but I didn't. I prayed right before
hand and I felt a strange calm. Now when my test went past 75, then past 100, I was getting nauseus. I passed though(somehow).
Do you remember any questions or subjects that stumped you? At least now you have an idea of what the test looks and feels like.
Try some deep breathing and meditation excercises. Take some time off and just decompress. Your mind is probably throbbing and
all over the place but you can do it. You have more than 1 chance to pass. Many excellent nurses did not pass the first time. I wish
you much peace and success.

I feel your pain. I initially took NCLEX RN June 2011 and my anxiety overpowered me. I was sitting infront of the computer and all I can think of was "OMG when is this going to end." Then I panicked when I got a math calc with no answer choices. I don't seem to remember taking med calc practice tests that did not have the answer choices. I probably did....but because of my anxiety, I totally panicked and lost focus.
Take some time to regroup and reassess your strengths and weaknesses. I'm in the midst of studying at the moment and scheduled to retake next month (*crossing fingers* hopefully, my last retake). More often than not, we psyched ourselves out before crossing the bridge.
Good luck! We can definitely conquer this challenge!!!

hi @blackflower. Stumbled across your post and wanted to know about kava kava. I failed my first attempt also because i have really bad test anxiety. I panicked and hyperventilated until i just couldnt focus on the questions anymore and just kept clicking choices without reading it again. Im taking my 2nd test in july and i still have anxiety about it. How did kava kava help you?
Omg I don't no why I didn't started taking kava kava in nursing school ! My nerves are so bad ! It works ! I got it from a all natural drug store . Got mine from Mother Earth ! It's a natural herbal supplement that promotes peaceful relaxation reduce stress and frustration ! It works ! I started taking it 2-3 days before my test to make sure it got into my system and on that day I took an extra one ( I no it said only 1-2) I needed 3 lol ! I was so calm ! I walked up in there not with an once of anxiety ! Honesty anxiety will cause u to fail . I think the computer knows .lol Study ! Take kava kava . Try and let me know !
