So I am very discouraged....
I've been taking HESI tests throughout my time in nursing school and never once did I pass a HESI test except for a Pharm HESI: which I got over 900.
I took the HESI exit and did not pass...I got 760. I did the a review and retook it but my score did not increase much of anything and I still didn't pass. We only have to take it twice. If we don't pass the second time, It's up to us to strengthen our weak spots.
I did pretty good in all of my classes. I am doing the hurst review and took my first Hurst quiz and let's just say it was horrid. I ended up doing better on my second hurst quiz with a 74/125.
What am I doing wrong? Am I just a bad test taker? If the HESI is a true predictor of passing the NCLEX, then I'm doomed.

I would suggest studying HESI based study materials. Hurst helped me a lot on my OB HESI. IN FACT, that was my best HESI grade, but I would not use it solely for your exit hesi exam. For my exit HESI i used evolve resources as well as "your best grade". I also read through the little boxes on the comprehensive HESI nclex study guide that you can find on amazon.com or any book store. It's a little green book.
Hesi is about knowing how to answer the question. Learn the testing strategies and use them always when answering questions. They help you to understand what the question is REALLY asking and once you can read through the fluff, the answer is usually obvious.
Good luck.
