So my whole life I wanted to go to nursing school but a lot of factors prevented me from doing so. I finally got my head straight and am attending Berkeley college right now and I am one semester away from graduating as a surgical technician.
I picked this field because I wanted to be in the OR and it was the fasted and easiest (for me) to achieve at the moment.
I always had issues with money since all my finances rely on me and working minimum wage while being in school full time is so stressful. It's why I felt like I couldn't be a nurse I couldn't put in the dedication without sacrificing a roof over my head. But now that I will be making more money I can.
Is there anyway I can still be an RN nurse ever with an associate's in a different field? Like having a different associates major how does it work? I keep reading that I can get a BSN in nursing but that can't be right since I don't even have an associate's in nursing.
Help please any advice will help! Thank you

You would need to attend a nursing program from start to finish. You can have a second associates degree or you can attend a prelicensure BSN or even MSN program. I have worked with many surgical technologists (technician is an outdated term) who have gone on to return to school to become nurses.
