Hi guys,
Studying F/E and am not sure why my brain is not getting this...I know hypotonic solutions draw water from the vessels and into the cells, decreasing intravascular fluid volume....yet I believe it causes increased urine output? I had thought hypertonic solutions would cause increased urination because they draw more fluid into the vessels. Please clarify this for me...it's kinda driving me crazy

It does help fluid move that way, but also remember that you are pumping them full of fluid so they naturally produce more urine.
If you drink a liter of water it's going to make you pee more right? Same concept.
