Hutchinson CC students, what kind of scores are you guys getting on your applications you turn in this year?

I’m just wondering if I even have a shot to get in this year or not. Becky has explained the scoring rubric to me and now frankly I’m feeling more discouraged than ever. In the past couple years out of the hundred of applicants, the lowest accepted score was 33.5. Just last year it was 35. It appears they’re trending up.
 

I am a straight B student, and have been my whole life, so I’m just feeling discouraged and am wondering even if all this is worth my time? Thanks for any help guys.

I'm applying this July. I took the Kaplan yesterday and totally bombed the writing portion. I have to retake that in 2 weeks if I have any hope of getting in. Overall, my Kaplan score was 78%. As of right now, I only have 32 points. I have all A's except in Human Growth and Development which I clepped out of a few years ago, so I only got 1 point for that class. Ugh. I regret not taking the actual class. I have so much riding on getting into this program. This is all so stressful!

OK. I just finished retaking the writing portion of the Kaplan. I'm estimating that I scored 35 on the Scoring Rubric. God, I just hope that's enough. Feeling so doubtful.

I just submitted my application too. If I scored myself correctly, I got a 37 on the rubric.
