Huntington Hospital (Pasadena) New Grad Winter 2026

Published

Starting a thread for Huntington hospital in Pasadena, CA. Just applied this past week and wanted to start a thread because it was confusing and wanted to know if anyone else had insight. On the website's page there was a new grad float pool RN Position and there was also an application on a website called jobzmall (when I Google searched the new grad program). I applied on 12/10
my application says in review just wanting to be a comfort / help other applicants out there ! 🙂

Hey! I also applied for the new grad float pool at HH. I haven't heard anything. it just says my application is "in process" hbu? lets keep each other updated!

Same! My float pool app says in process and the jobzmall one says in review. Definitely! I'll keep you updated

Hi! I interviewed for that position on 12/16. It was added along with the new grad residency cohort last minute, so I think they're trying to fill the spot asap to begin with the rest of the group. I haven't heard back yet though, but I believe interviews are already complete.

Wow congrats! This is the first I've heard of an interview at Huntington. Do you mind sharing what you think made you stand out as an applicant?

@M_sylv hey! congrats! yes please can you share what the things that you think made you more competitive on resume & cover letter. Also, what questions did they ask?

Thank you! The recruiter told me she had over 600 applications for only 8 positions this cohort, so most were internal applicants (mine was not). I'm a UCLA MECN/MSN grad (June), I graduated summa cum laude for my BA, lots of volunteer stuff, I have a decently long work history but in a very different field, have managerial experience. TBH above anything, I had a really good conversation with the recruiter and I think that's the main advantage I had. The questions were all the typical ones, tell me about yourself/why Huntington/why nursing and then hypothetical situations "what would you do if your patient didn't understand the doctors explanation due to a language barrier?" And behavioral like "what does being a team mean to you?" ZERO clinical questions, nothing I could have really prepped for so all my answers were a little scattered but I'm PRAYING because it's so hard to get a new grad position right now! Hope this is helpful!

8 positions for the float pool? or overall of the residency program? yeah job market sucks RN and I am also still hoping to get a new grad position. Good luck to you! hope you get chosen !

8 for the entite cohort and then they added the float position, so 9 total 😐.

I'm sure you'll get it. Good luck and thanks for sharing! 🤍

Has anyone who had an interview heard back? I haven't heard anything, it's been 2 weeks.
