Hung my own blood! :-)

I gave blood last month and I kept the paper that has the pint identifier on it. I got an e-mail the other day saying my blood was sent to the hospital I work at. What are the chances, I infused my own blood into my patient the other night (not that I would tell the patient). Small world, made me glad I could make a difference- in more ways than one.

That's amazing. I love to donate blood, I do it as often as possible. Such an important thing that not many people do!

You probably felt great about donating after using it on a patient!! That's awesome.

Question - do they normally inform a donor WHERE the donated unit went to???

Yes! I'm a regular donor and always get an email with where my blood went. (It's never gone to the hospital where I work, though.)
