Humber Practical Nursing - Sept 2014

Published

Hi all! I'm new here but wanted to see if there was anyone else who has found out that they were accepted into Practical Nursing for Sept 2014 at Humber!

I logged onto SRS yesterday to see if my test score was posted and I was shocked to see that I was accepted!! Now just waiting for OCAS to show my offer so I can accept :D

I'm so excited because I thought I really messed up the Bio and Chem lol.

Can't wait to "meet" some of my future classmates!

Did you get an alternative offer from Humber ??? My friend took the pratical nursing test she did bad on the math but they offered her an alternative offer.... general arts and science ... health and technology....

Guys what's on the math part I'm so worried about that -_-

There was a practice math test on the humber website.

Did anyone fail???

When can we get our results back -_-

You do NOT get your results back. They don't even release them. You will have to check your Humber SRS and see if you have an offer or if you were waitlisted.

Oh yea i got in no problem xD

Not sure why i was worried at all..

Whole thing was all basic common sense =P

Looking forward to meeting you guys :)

Just wondering, any young nurses here?

Im turning 20 soon, don't wanna be the baby of the group, especially as a male :cautious:

Congrats!

I am 24. It was easier than expected for me too. I think there is just so much hype about how hard the program is to get into. If you apply and write your test at the right time then it is a breeze. It's when you leave it too late that you will have problems getting in.

Congrats!

Hey everyone !

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted!.

I made a late decision to try and apply to humber for RPN and have the test this Saturday!!! I was wondering if anyone could give advice on the test , if its really hard, and what types of question would be in the biology and chemistry part. It would mean a lot.

I've seen so many people ask this because I've tried myself and no one would really ever help.

Honestly, its the easiest thing ever, just basic straight forward common sense multiple choice questions.

Basic math, review it if you want --> Division, multiplication, fractions.

Straight forward chem and bio, you can honestly guess it if anything.

And an essay on a topic.

Don't panic and just wing it like me :smokin:

You have nothing to worry about except whether there are still spots left in the program.:sarcastic:

Btw, that saturday April 12, theres an open house from 10am;

Not sure when your test is but you can ask around maybe if you're that worried. :nurse:

"Don't worry and just wing it" Is REALLY not good advice... It may have worked for you and I am not saying that it won't work for amybeniako123 either, but honestly, you should review bio, chem and math. If you don't have time that is fine, but reviewing will help you ensure that you will do your best on the exam. There is also a sample math test on the website. It deals mainly with multiplying/dividing/addition/subtraction of decimals.
