First test toward Excelsior ASN. I haven been procrastinating too long. This past year I have worked so much overtime so I could save money in order to quit working and focus solely only school. Any tips or pointers?Dave

First check your school's CLEP policy.

For studying, head to Barns & Noble. I prefer the REA (Research & Education Association) books. Depending on the test, some editions have software with 2 or 3 practice tests.

Another suggestion would be after taking the Human Growth and Development CLEP, go for the Introductory Psychology CLEP. Human Growth and Development was my first CLEP, and I was so confident that I signed up to take Psychology the next week. Even with less study time for Psychology, all the Human Growth was still fresh in my mind, and that helped me score higher on Psychology!

Get plenty of rest the night before test day.

It has great information and helped me pass all of my CLEP exams. Make sure that you read the test taking tips under "tools and resources." I used the REA books. Good luck!

I found this CLEP and intro to Psych and Soc went pretty hand in hand! If you do well on it you pretty much have the others in the bag! I used REA books as well. I found them to be helpful but just as a review of what I learned from my LPN program! Good luck!
